Avance joins fight against childhood cancer – contributes to the George and Jennifer Yeo Professorship in Paediatric Oncology

Avance is proud to be a donor to the George and Jennifer Yeo Professorship in Paediatric Oncology. Established by the National University of Singapore (NUS) Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, the professorship aims to help to bring about better cure rates for children with cancer in Singapore and beyond.

The professorship will recognise outstanding leaders in medicine and public health policy and drive important discussions to enhance healthcare practices for Singapore and regions around the world.

At the same time, it will help to train the next generation of leaders in paediatric oncology to partner with experts from various disciplines to address cancer and healthcare challenges more comprehensively.

As a brand that advocates good health and well-being, Avance is honoured to have this opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the fight against childhood cancer. Our founders, Dr Dora Hoan and Dr Doreen Tan were present at the inauguration ceremony of the professorship on 30 August at NUS.

Both Dr Hoan and Dr Tan shared their thoughts on contributing to the professorship, “As we come together to support the George and Jennifer Yeo Professorship in Paediatric Oncology, we are igniting a beacon of hope for children facing the toughest battle of their lives. This initiative is not just about medical advancement, it is a testament to our collective commitment to healing, innovation and a brighter future.

By investing in education, research and compassionate care, we stand united in the fight against childhood cancer. Let us be a source of strength for these young warriors and their families, reminding them that they are not alone on this journey. Together, we can transform their stories of struggle into tales of triumph, and pave the way for a healthier, happier tomorrow.”
